Tips for working from home during this “NEW NORMAL"…
1. Make a flexible DREAM schedule for the day. Yes! Sit down, get a piece of paper out and write it out. Just remember… This is the best case scenario schedule with lots of flexibility and grace. It’s about creating structure that helps us NOT makes us feel trapped and stressed out. Here is an helpful print out from Day Designer.
2. Create a shared google calendar so you and your partner (roommate, family member or anyone in your support system/household) has a better idea of the free windows of time to schedule calls and video conferences. Tutorials: Create a new calendar & Share your calendar.
3. Be okay with asking for a work meeting or call to take place at a time that works for your family. Remember we often are able to reschedule!

7. Find ways to connect and relax as a family (a game, dance party, meal prepping etc).
8. Make a list of daily/weekly goals. I am using the Whitney English 2020 planner to help me stay organized personally and the Day Designer for Blue Sky planner for work. Love both of the layouts and functionality.
9. Communication communication communication with everyone under your roof specially with your partner. I need to get better at sharing my goals and expectations for the day and asking for his so we can help one another to meet those!
10. Get outside for a walk around the neighborhood. We are in southern CA so will get out as much as possible when it’s not raining!
BONUS: Make time for “just you” and self-care. I’ve picked up a book and planning for a bath next week.
